Mississippi Sound - Saltwater Fishing Report

I AM OPEN SUNDAY, JUNE 7, 2009 - Weather Looks Good...Book It Now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today my clients were a great group of guys from Atlanta, GA, and man did they ever have a blast catching fish cast after cast.

With the north winds threating, a decision was made to scrap the barrier islands today and fish inshore. What a great call!
Once down at the Bellefontaine Reef it was game on, and using croaker as cut bait the men were hauling them in one after another.
This was to be a short morning trip, but it didn't take the guys long to fill up the live wells with big sand sea trout a.k.a. "white trout" and southern kingfish a.k.a. "ground mullet".

They easily boxed right at 100 of the tasty bottom dwellers, and had the time of their lives doing so.
With practically a fish on every cast, well, light tackle action of that caliber is hard to beat, especially when the quarry is a delicious frying fish.
Catching fish that fast had the gentlemen on their toes, me too, and of course there was always the running joke of who had the biggest fish.
By the way, there is no size or number limits on white trout and ground mullet, and when their boneless fillets are rolled in yellow mustard, then in Zatarain's Fish Fry, and then fried golden brown, well, it's some of the finest eating on the planet.
These men were fun and polite, ideal clients that make my job fun.
By the way, their names were Brian Couch, Mitch Mine, Sam Hendon, and Daryl King, all friends that work together for the power company.
Bottom line, a visit to a reef that I had not fished in 2 months paid off big time, and made for one heck of a fish catching morning.
If you want some of this fish catching action come on down to Biloxi, MS, I am full time, 24/7, and ready to treat you to a great time of light tackle angling aboard TEAM BRODIE CHARTERS.
Will be heading out tomorrow to hopefully catch big Spanish mackerel, Florida pompano, speckled trout, and it looks like the weather may cooperate. Below are a few picks of my last barrier island trips.
