Flounder The Best Bet

Capt. Barry Brown
May 22, 2008
Pascagoula River - Saltwater Fishing Report

Trout and reds have been spotty the last week. The rains of last week have muddied the river pretty good and have driven the trout and reds south. You can still find some nice reds and specks near the mouth of the river.

The better strategy has been flounder fishing around the deeper points. Two to three pound flounder have been caught in some good numbers over the past several days on artificial cocohoe, Gulp baits, and live minnows. There have been good flounder catches on both rising and falling tides.
