Bull Shoals - Freshwater Fishing Report

The lake is leveling off and the water is clearing and most important warming. The WHITE BASS have started to congregate at the entrances to the feeder streams in anticipation of the spawning run. These fish are being caught from the banks with minnows. Boaters are catching fish on small imitation lures, with small crank baits the most effective. One of the most popular is the Hot n Tot in silver and black. Theodosia Marina has these lures.

Some crappie are being caught on minnows and swimming minnows in various colors.

Bass are coming in from Anglers using crank baits and Alabama rigs with flukes attached. These fish are mainly on the ends of the main lake bluffs.
