Fishing with Tom

Bull Shoals - Freshwater Fishing Report

Numerous conversations with my neighbor and friend,TOM HILGER,about WALLEYE fishing... The end result was an invited trip on the lake.

We left late one hot afternoon in August. The trip would involve fishing with plainer boards and lead line trolling.Something that was almost totally new to me.Tom fishes and guides out of a fish and ski boat. The first thing that we had to determine was the depth of the bait the WALLEYE were feeding.Tom then set out lines to fish at this depth He used two plainer's on the right, two plainer's on the left and two lead lines in the back. The lures were diving stick baits.Tom has his boat equipped with a hand held trolling device.Within an hour we had the photographed WALLEYES along with numerous Bass that we released.

Tom and his wife Donna own and operate the BILTMORE resort in Isabella on Bull Shoals lake. If you are looking for this type of fishing I suggest you call Tom or I for assistance.Tom would be more than happy to provide a room at his resort and discuss exactly what to buy in order to get into this action.
