Branson: Fishing guides have noticed the deep bite moving a little over the past week; fish that were holding around 35' deep have slid out to as deep as 50' on gravel points and flats on the main lake. Drop shot rigs with UV finesse worms, Chompers Drop Shot worms and ROBO worms continue to be the best option targeting these deeper fish. There have been a few fish taken on topwater over the past week; cloudy morning are best and fish will take Spooks, Red Fins and Sammys fished around boat docks around deep water. The bite lasts for about the first 30 minutes of daylight so get out early.

Kimberling City: Jewel football jigs continue to produce for Branson fishing guides in the Kimberling City area, PB&J and green pumpkin candy matched with a green pumpkin J Tail trailer has been the best offering. Look for isolated brush and rock cover from 15' – 25' deep on main lake and secondary points in larger creek arms to be the most productive areas. Webb tail spoons have begun to produce around large deep boat docks; look for community docks 30' deep or deeper to be the most productive.

James River: The water color in the James continues to be the best on the lake holding fish shallower here than anywhere else. Big worms have been putting better fish in the boat from Campers Point up to above Cape Fair. Look for brush piles less than 20' deep to be the most productive. Branson fishing guides have also done well with deep diving crankbaits up the James. Look for isolated rock or brush 10' – 20' deep on main lake points and channel bank ledges to be the most productive areas. Strike King 6 XD in Sexy Shad have been putting fish in the boat.

White River: The White River continues to produce for Branson fishing guides. The Baxter area has some of the best drop shot action on the lake; look for fish to be holding tight to the bottom 35' – 45' deep on gravel points and flats near deeper water or suspended in tree tops 30 ‘- 50' deep over as much as 100' deep. Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigged UV hogs fished on gravel points further upstream will produce numbers and quality form Campbell point to above Big M. Shallow crankbaits and big worms have been very effective around brush and laydowns in creek arms and flats up the Kings River.

Generation remains limited to the afternoon to meet power demand, the Corps has been running four units for around three hours late in the afternoon and nothing the rest of the day. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.

• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes. .
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
