Branson: Fishing guides have noticed a decent topwater bite every morning from daybreak until the sun comes up over the hill. Banks on the east side of the lake will hold shade longer than banks on the west side so look for large community docks on east banks to be the most productive. Smaller topwater baits like Pop R's and Spooks Jr. have been the most productive baits when fish are surfacing. Once the surface activity slows move out to deep trees and target suspending fish 35' – 50' deep with drop shot rigs.

Kimberling City: The morning topwater bite Branson fishing guides have found on the lower end is just as good in Kimberling City. Big community docks on east
banks will have surfacing fish until the sun "comes up over the hill". Deep trees are holding fish in the mid lake as well, look for trees that top out between 35' – 55' to be the most productive, drop shot rigged UV worms and ROBO worms have been the best offerings. Jewel football jigs in PB&J or green pumpkin candy with green pumpkin J Tail trailers are working on deeper points with wood or rock cover. Look for cover from 20' – 35' to be best.

James River: The best water color on the lake continues to be on the James River and has kept fish relatively shallow from Aunts Creek to above Cape Fair. Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigged UV hogs have been producing on main lake and secondary points in larger creeks. Most of the fish will be between 15' – 20' deep holding close to wood or rock cover on the point. 10" – 12" Texas rigged worms have been working in brush piles on channel swing banks further up the river. Look for brush piles close to deep water to be the most productive.

White River: The best fishing on the lake continues to be in the White River. The morning topwater bite is strong from Baxter to above Big M, the drop shot bite has been great in tree tops around Baxter to above Shell Knob, Jewel football jigs and Carolina rigged UV hogs have been working on main lake and secondary points around Shell Knob to and deep crankbaits have been working in the Kings River. Branson fishing guides continue to put fish in the boat throughout the White River.

Limited generation has made the bite a little tougher than in recent weeks, changing techniques throughout the day has been necessary to catch fish. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.

• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
