Branson: Fishing guides continue to target deep fish on the lower end of the lake. Most of the fish are suspending over deep tree tops from 35' – 55' deep over as much as 120' feet of water. UV finesse worms, Chompers drop shot worms and 4" ROBO worms have been the best baits, with different colors producing on different days. Brown purple, plum and Aaron's magic have all been top producers this week. A few better quality fish have been coming on Webb tail spoons in these same areas so be sure to drop a spoon down close to the tree tops as well.

Kimberling City: Early and late in the day there is still a strong topwater bit in Kimberling City. Branson fishing guides are using spooks, Sammies and Pop-R's to target surfacing fish over deep water and close to larger boat docks. Drop shot rigs will produce here as well; look for the same pattern over deep trees to be the most productive. Jewel football jigs worked slowly across mixed rock and gravel points have been effective from 20' – 35' deep. PB&J or green pumpkin candy matched with a green pumpkin J Tail trailer will produce a mixed bag of bass.

James River: The deep crankbait bite has been hit or miss up the James; it's always a timing issue but this year it seems the fish are not moving up throughout the day to feed as they have in the past. Branson fishing guides have been doing better with Carolina rigged UV hogs and Trick worms on gravel points and roll offs. Work the rig from shallow to deep paying close attention to the bait as it falls. The topwater bite is strong in the James as well; Spooks, Sammies and Red Fins are all producing when fish surface early and late in the day.

White River: Branson fishing guides continue to find the best fishing on the White River; areas from Campbell Point to Big M have some of the best early morning topwater action on the lake. Pop-R's have been the most productive offerings but better fish have been hitting Spooks and Red Fins. The deep bite is also very strong in the White River; drop shot rigged finesse worms have been the ticket over deep trees much like the rest of the lake. Jewel football jigs are producing as weel on main lake points from Baxter to above Campbell point.

Generation and current has been limited to late afternoon hours making the bite a little tougher than usual. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.

• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
