Branson: Fishing guides are still targeting top water fish early and late in the day; spooks, Sammies and pop-r's have all been effective when fish are surfacing. Look for "pods' of shad from the bank out to the middle of the lake, schools of bass will attack these schools when the sun light is low. Once the sun comes Branson fishing guides will move to deep trees and drop shot with Chompers and UV finesse worms 35' – 55' deep.

Kimberling City: Just like in Branson, fishing guides are targeting surfacing fish early and late. Fish closer to the bank will be larger but you will get more bites from the schooling spotted bass in the middle of the creek arms. Once the sun comes up switch to a Jewel Pro Spider jig or Finesse jig and work mixed rock and gravel points and banks from the bank to around 15' deep. As the day wears on move even deeper on these same points and target fish 20 – 30' deep with a Jewel football jig and J tail trailer combo.

James River: Branson fishing guides are targeting shallow fish all over the James River. Early and late in the day buzz baits and top waters are productive particularly around shallow wood cover. Once the sun comes up Jewel Pro Spider jigs in Okeechobee craw and Jewel Squirrel heads with a magnum finesse worm are both very productive on transition areas where creek channels leave a bank.

White River: Fish are biting just about any way you would like to fish on the White River. Just like in Branson fishing guides are targeting surfacing fish early and late in the day; spooks Sammies and pop-r's have been the best offerings. As the sun comes up Jewel Spider jigs and Squirrel heads are effective from the bank to 20' deep. Once the sun is high change up to Jewel football jigs 20' – 35' deep and concentrate on mixed gravel and rock points. Drop shot deep trees with UV and Chompers worms from 35' – 55' deep to target schools o spotted bass.

Generation has been limited to afternoon hours making the fishing a little tougher, cooler weather does have the trout on the move. Here are the top patterns working for Branson fishing guides this past week.
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island.
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson.
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
