The Fishing on Table Rock is as good as we've seen it in 10 years. Now is the time to come experience some of the best deep water fishing in the country!

Branson: Fishing guides continue to have two distinct patterns on the lower end of the lake. The deep bite is phenomenal right now, both numbers of fish and quality. Deep trees on secondary points in the larger creek arms have been the best areas, fish have been suspending from 35' – 55' deep over as much as 120', look for trees on the sides of points to be the most productive areas. Jewel spoons and Rapala Ice Jigs have been the best baits fished vertically above the schools of fish. Shallow anglers are doing well with stickbaits; Megabass Vision 110's and SPRO McSticks have been the baits of choice on ledge rock banks on both the main lake and in the creek arms.

Kimberling City: The shallow bite is a little stronger in the Kimberling City area. Branson fishing guides are using stickbaits on ledge rock banks from 5' – 18' deep allowing them to suspend for 5 – 15 seconds between pauses to draw strikes. Larger community docks are holding fish as well; look for docks with at least 20 slips preferably on points and pitch Jewel Pro Spider Jigs to the center walkway from 5' – 25' deep. Make sure to feed line to the jig as it is falling as many of the fish will be right below the walkway.

James River: The biggest news in James River has been the crappie bite. Branson fishing guides have been catching both numbers and quality over the past week from Campers Point to Flat Creek. Look for brush piles 15' – 25' deep on steeper banks to be holding the bulk of the fish. Bobby garland Baby Shad on 1/16 oz. heads have been the best bait, cast beyond the brush pile and allow it to fall just deep enough to "tick" the top of the brush to draw strikes. The same shallow bites working in Kimberling City and Branson are working in the James. A combination of stickbaits and Jewel Pro Spider Jigs is all you need to put fish in the boat.

White River: Just like the rest of the lake Branson fishing guides have been doing very well on the White River fishing shallow and deep. The Shallow bite is a combination of stickbaits, Jewel jigs and Umbrella rigs. The stickbait and jig bite is mostly on ledge banks and points throughout the lake. The Umbrella rig bite has been best on main lake points with a steep drop or ledge on one side or the other. Most of the fish have been caught working the rig close to the bottom and allowing it to follow the contour of the bottom off the ledge or drop. Most of the bites will come as the bait it falling off the drop. The deep bite is in deep trees from 35' – 55' deep over as much as 100'. Jewel spoons and Rapala Ice Jigs have been the key baits here as well.

The current continued to run all day every day last week, mostly one unit with a bump up to a couple of units in the afternoon. With all that water flowing through the lake the trout fishing has been unbelievable. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover from Cooper Creek through Branson
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a float in creek arms from Fall Creek to below Monkey Island. .
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats is a dominate pattern

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
