Branson: Fishing guides have watched lake levels rise almost four feet in the last two weeks. The influx of warm water has put fish on the move all over the lake and improved the bite significantly. On cloudy or windy days a Strom Wiggle Wart or Bandit 300 series crankbait is hard to beat. Look for steeper rock banks and points close to spawning areas to be the most productive locations. Without wind fish these same points with a combination of Bass Pro Shops XPS grubs and Jewel Squirrel Head jigs tipped with Tightlines UV Beavers or Finesse worms. On these calm days fish will be a little deeper 15' – 25' deep.

Kimberling City: Just like in Branson fishing guides have been doing very well on Bandit and Wiggle Wart crankbaits if it's cloudy or windy. The fish have been holding on point and steep banks near the mouths of spawning pockets, if there is cloud cover they'll be around 10' deep or less if it's sunny closer to 15' – 20'. On sunny days a Jewel Pro Spider jig and Paca chunk combo or a Ned Rig will out produce anything else. Best colors have been natural, green pumpkin and watermelon red flake on the Ned rig and Okeechobee Blue or PB&J on the spider jig.

James River: More rain means more color and debris up the James River. Branson fishing guides have still been doing well targeting fish shallow in the James and its tributaries. Strom Wiggle Warts and Bandit 300 crankbaits have been the best bets, look for fish to be holding on channel banks and steep points close to spawning areas. ON calm sunny days a Jewel Magnum casting jig worked to 15' deep on these locations will put fish in the boat. With all the color in the James it's important to use colors the fish can see; black blue flash on the jig with an emerald blue Paca chunk on the Magnum jig and brown craw or watermelon seed on the crankbait.

White River: Fish are being caught on a wide variety of patterns in the White River. From Baxter to Campbell point a one two punch of Wiggle Warts and Bass Pro XPS grubs has been as effective as in Branson. Fishing guides have done better with Jewel Magnum Casting jigs and Paca chunks in the bigger creek arms above Campbell point. The last two channel swings in a creek have been the prime areas. Up the Kings River there is a ton of debris, so be careful if you're heading that direction. War Eagle spinnerbaits have been producing numbers and quality in the Kings especially in the mouths of spawning pockets where wood has collected.

All the rain over the past week has forced the Corps of Engineers to run four units almost continually. This much current can make fishing the upper portion of the lake a little tough but fish are still being caught throughout the lake. Here is what's been working for Branson fishing guides this past week:

• Trout magnets continue to produce beneath a couple of floats 6' – 8' down.
• Gulp and Power Bait Eggs fished from channel banks up to flats have been effective, mix egg colors to draw more strikes
• Egg flies and "glo bugs" cast upstream on a drift rig have been working well on a drift rig with a two pound leader.
• Live night crawlers on a drift rig cast upstream allowing the current to drift the boat downstream over flats
• Zig Jig marabou jigs have been great, sculpin and olive colors around docks and other cover
• Micro Marabou jigs have been a top producer below a float. Brown and olive have been the best colors.

The trout fishing on Lake Taneycomo continues to be excellent, ever changing conditions make it more important than ever to have a guide with the right knowledge to put you on the trout. Call Focused Fishing Guide Service at 417-860-4743 today and book your trip of a lifetime.
