Spring runoff still gripping rivers in SW Montana

Capt. William De Shaw
June 3, 2008
Jefferson River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Hello. Greetings from the land of much water! Its been a great spring with alot of heavy snow, and daily rains. Expect runoff to last through June this year, on all the rivers here. Still some good fishing to be had on the Madison. The lower Madison near Norris will fish good from where the highway leaves the river down to Blacks Ford. You have to fish the middle of the river to the left side, as the right side is blown out due to Bear Trap Creek runoff up high, and Cherry Creek runoff, farther downstream. Also, try the Spring Creeks over by Livingston. Still some good fishing to be had, you just have to hunt for it.

We are going to offer our folks a river camping trip this year. So you can be on the river early and late, unlike a regular float trip. We will offer 2 days of fishing and 1 night, or 3 days of fishing 2 nights. Of course, all by driftboat. Good Prices!! Call us at 406-579-9445 for more info.
