Winter Fishing

Capt. Simon McGowan
May 21, 2015
Henties Bay - Saltwater Fishing Report

With winter upon us, focus switches predominately to the large shoals of Kabeljou from the boats as well as the shore lines with the hopes of a few 50lbers in amongst them.

The big sharks are still here but will become harder now the water temperature is decreasing.

Henties Bay Fishing Forecast:

Should be lots of kabeljou around, as well as a few steenbras and good catches of galjoen. Bronze Whaler Sharks will get harder as the water temperature decreases but still lots of spotties expected.

Target Species:

Bronze Whaler Shark, Kabeljou
