Late fall fishing

San Juan River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Hello every-one,
The river flow is at 500 cfs, the water clarity is around 3 feet. The fishing has been good. The upper areas {catch and release area and the cable hole} are still loaded with big fish. Gray zebra #24 midges, and yellow eggs #20 are working. The Texas hole on down has been fishing pretty hot some days and other days you need to work for your fish. The lower river has been on from around 10 am to 3 pm. The blue wing olives have been thick. Gray RS2 #22 and gray foam wings have been the ticket for me. Good dry fly action on Parachute Adams #22. Check for off-season rate going into effect starting next week 11/15/08 -02/15/09.
$350.00 for a full day guided trip, float or wade, and lodging for two persons at a nice local lodge.

San Juan River Fishing Forecast:

Fishing should stay good.
