Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday February 19, 2014.
Ice fishing seems to be in full swing, especially with the warm-up predicted thru the end of this week.
The area around Lake Breeze Marina and Four C's Marina then around the Bridges on Oak Orchard River seem to be attracting a fair number of fishermen.
Perch and some Northern Pike are the main species that are being taken.
On Lake Alice the area around Otter Creek and then around the Kenyonville Bridge seem to be the hot spots.
Bluegills seem to be the main species being targeted.
On the upper reaches of the Oak there is open water from the Dam North past the St. Mary's Archer's Club.
Again with the warm-up thru the end of the week there should be more active Steelhead/Rainbow trout fishing with still a few Brown trout thrown into the mix.
Live baits seem to be the key no matter what species are being targeted.
Remember the first day of Spring is March 20th which is just over 4 weeks away.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario the World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day, right here in Orleans County.
