Orleans County Fishing Report 6/1/22

Orleans County Tourism
June 1, 2022
Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

The Orleans County water of Point Breeze are providing an excellent mixed bag catch of late! I've heard from visiting "Rec" boats (AKA recreational) that west of the Point in 100-200 ft of water got 'em steelhead and coho salmon action. Fishing the surface to 30 ft down on orange spoons. The charter fleet has had king salmon action in 100-120 FOW using chrome glow flasher fly combinations down to 60 ft. I have been fishing my clients from 50-150 ft. Mainly with an old school program. With cool water temperatures, rig depths of 30 to 80 ft down are getting Troutman 2 anglers kings coho and some whopper lake trout! Typical more summer- like weather is setting in, including steady southwest to west breezes perfect for attracting even more fish to Orleans County/Lake Ontario waters off the Oak!
Fish on!
