Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday May 27, 2015.
Maybe summer has finally arrived in Orleans County.
Temperatures are going to be in the high 70's and low 80's with no rain in the forecast---except for today and possibly the weekend.
On Lake Alice good to great catches of both Bluegill and Crappie are being reported along with Bass.
All of the tributaries within Orleans County are showing life for the warm water species but please remember that Bass season doesn't open until the 3rd Saturday in June.
On Lake Ontario catches of both Chinook salmon and Steelhead trout are being taken 50 to 60 feet down over 70 to 120 feet of water.
The inside surface water is warming up quickly and there is a sharp break at around the 200 feet of water depth.
This is the time of year when information on Lake Ontario fishing gets very hard to obtain with 3 major west end tournaments coming up.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario, the World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
