Lake Ontario - Freshwater Fishing Report

Today is Wednesday November 25, 2015.
With the de-watering of the Erie Canal in progress and the possibility of rain in the forecast for several days over the next week, Water levels on all of the tributaries within Orleans County should rise to more moderate levels.
Along with that, night time temperatures that will be around the freezing mark which will bring water temperatures to more seasonable levels and we should be in for some very good fishing conditions.
Fishing on the lower reaches of Sandy, Marsh and Johnson Creeks is spotty but should greatly improve with increased water flow.
On the "Oak" there seems to be good numbers of Brown trout and Steelhead from the Waterport Dam North past the Archer's Club and a waning number of Salmon in the mix.
Also on the "Oak" Perch are being taken in fairly good numbers south of the bridges area.
On Lake Alice Perch are being taken south of the Kenyonville Bridge along with some Bass.
With hunting season in full swing, fishing pressure on all of the tributaries within Orleans County is greatly reduced so there is plenty of open water for you to ply your fishing trade on.
I hope that you all have a happy and safe Thanksgiving Holiday.
From Point Breeze on Lake Ontario, the World Fishing Network's Ultimate Fishing Town USA and the rest of Orleans County, Let's make everyday a great fishing day right here in Orleans County.
