Fishing Report for New York - Long Island North Shore

Capt. Robin G Calitri
September 29, 2004
Long Island - Saltwater Fishing Report

September Ending with a Bang in NY

There are wonderful things in the fishing world in store for those who get out and fish at this time of the year. I shared a great day with Dr. Steven Moss and his new fisherbuddy John. They caught false albacore and bluefish in the Breezy Point area. Some of the blues were the gorillas that ate through all our leaders.

The Long Island Bassmasters held a tournament on White Pond. Some largemouth bass over six pounds were caught. Bruce Palmer took first, President Greg Keisling second, Mitch Bernstein third and Steve Socko, Lunker with a 6 p0und 2 oz. Bass

Emory Butts reports big blues and bass in Cold Spring Harbor. The Huntington-Northport area is holding bass, blues, spanish macks and false albacore

Jim DeGrosso, of Acabonic has been getting keeper bass and big blues on the fly at his secret spot. BASST, Captain Robin Calitri
