Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

The salmon river ran high all weekend but that didn't stop the fish from biting.
Jimmy Lucas was up about two weeks ago and slammed them with his girlfriend Chelsea. He had to come back for more and this time he brought his friend Andrew. Chelsea was cuter, sorry Andrew.
Anyway, we floated from Altmar to 2A and it was big We landed five and hooked about that many more. Not bad for 2,400 cfs and ice cold H2O!
The water is schedule to drop to 1,150 and than to 750 on Wednesday. I would look for another major bite to happen.
The Oswego river is holding at a high level, but you can get on it if you are careful and fish the edges. Try eggs and small jigs in white and pink.
All bets are off on when we will have safe ice again. We will just have to wait and see.
