New York Fishing Report for Lake Ontario and Salmon River

Capt. Troy Creasy
December 7, 2002
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

The salmon river dropped to 335 cfs today and the fishing is OK at best. Fish are really scattered and you need to cover a lot of water to find them. The recent cold front and heavy snows have dropped the H2O temps to 32 degrees. There are fish in the river, but the are real moody with all this weather.

Pat, Tim and Brent had a good day with me on the Oswego, even though we had to travel for an hour through a white out to get there. We boated 4 browns, with numerous other bites. Not a banner day, but good company and good food. Thanks for the deer jerky guys.

I still have some good dates open in December, but the Spring is booking fast. Don't wait on making your reservations for March and April.

Good Luck. Troy.
