New York Fishing Report for Lake Ontario and Salmon River

Capt. Troy Creasy
November 13, 2005
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Steelhead Fishing at it's Finest!

By: Troy Creasy

I just keep shaking my head. 60 plus degrees and a big chrome steelhead in every two or three spots you fish. We fished about 30 spots today, so I will let you do the math.

A banner day for old guest John Cornell and new guest Tim Disney. They have fished the river before, but never saw a day like this. Bright sun to dark clouds, gail wind to no wind, but the fish bit all day long!!

We ran plugs all day and the fish were all over them. While the fastest water has been the best all month, I am now seeing fish starting to transition into the holding water and bellies of the holes. Now we have to fish everything. Cover it all guys.

A few pictures of todays catch. One fish was kept for the broiler.

Tim started the day with a big chromer we had to chase down.

Big John immediately followed up with this fish and a nice brown, we didn't get a picture of.

Fish number five of the day!

This hen hammered the Lucille Ball plug (Red Head)!

A double digit day for the High Adv Boat. Nice Job guys!!

This is all I have left for 2005.

December 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 16,18, 30 Prime days for Steelhead and Brown trout!

I am only fishing a very limited number of days in January and Febraury. If you want a day, you need to contact me now.
