New York Fishing Report for Lake Ontario and Salmon River

Capt. Troy Creasy
April 17, 2002
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Sorry I took a week off from updating this report. It's that crazy time of year when I am fishing all day and trying to get my lake boat in the water for the upcoming Spring season. Also the only thing to report has been the high water and the fantastic spring sucker run. All the fish you want can be had on North and South Sandy Creek. Bugle nose brook trout. Giant, Short Nose Red Horse Suckers. They hit everything. Just put it in front of them.

The salmon river is running at 3000 cfs, and it is going back to 6000 tonight YUK!

We were doing good until the river flooded and the fish starting to drop from the hatchery. We will still have some real hot fishing right into May. We all thought the season would end early, but what do we know.

I still have May 2, 3, 8, 13, 14, 15 open. This will great for the lake or the river. Your Choice.

High Adventure Sportfishing is currently taking reservations for Spring, Summer and Fall, Lake and River charters.

Relieve some stress and spend the day on the water with family and friends.
