Salmon River Fishing Report

Capt. Troy Creasy
November 27, 2009
Salmon River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Some much needed rain fell on the region today and we can use it. Another month is all but in the books and Winter is going to finally rear it's ugly head real soon.

We hope everyone is enjoying the long holiday weekend. I am spending it with family and friends working on proofing the winter issue and doing a little hunting. Whatever you are doing, we hope you are having fun.

Fishing continues to be good on the salmon river. The fish are here and the pressure is easing up a little bit. Not much but some.
Many of the darker fish are dropping into the holes but there is plenty of chrome still holding in the heat. Look for more of them to drop into the pools as the water temps will drop this week with the colder air and wet snow that is in the forecast.

Blue eggs, beads and flies are taking most of the fish bottom bouncing and float fishing are working equally well.

To any of those that did not rebook for the fall of 2010, here is all I have left for next year's river salmon season.
September 13, 14, 15
October 14, 15, 22, 25. If you want to book something call me ASAP.

As for Spring 2010, April & May is about history as well.
I have: April 5, 6, 7
May 8, 9
For the rest of 2009 I have December 2, 3, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 30

I do have plenty of open days from January until late March and plenty of days for the 2010 lake season
