Cape Fear River - Saltwater Fishing Report

Temperatures are beginning to drop,fall is here along with some great inshore fishing.
Speckle trout,red drum,flounders are all biting,the last couple of weeks has produced some large flounders from 8lb to 13lbs coming off the near-shore artificial reefs.
Red drum were biting yesterday in the creeks in the lower Cape Fear River,caught several small puppy drum,along with a number of slot size red drum in the 22" to 26" size.
Speckle trout are being caught along the shore line around the islands, in the Cape Fear River,Carolina Beach Inlet has been producing speckle trout on the falling tide.
