Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report
Those anglers lucky enough to have the time and where-with-all to visit us here in Panama(and Costa Rica) are going home with their arms a tad longer, and their backs a bit sore, but it's a GOOD pain.
Yellow fin tuna on surface poppers and SW spin gear is not for the faint o' heart. But it is quite an experience.
Black and blue MARLIN continue to show well in all the likely suspected spots. Hannibal Bank, Isla Montuosa, Isla Ladrones, and some very promising reports cming from just offshore of Punta Burica.
Tom Cronk was a guest at the Hotel Burica recently, and a group of lucky anglers returned from a great day outside with two beautiful WAHOO..dining on blackened wahoo is another of lifes great grilling experiences.
Water surface temps are at 90 degrees, so be sure to ask your crew if theres a downrigger on board, or at least a planer ! Get down there around 80 ft. and your success will definitely improve !!!
Lots of bait around , so things should continue in the "Excellent" category.
Insore and reef with butterfly jigs and live or dead bait taking some excellent cubera snappers, groupers, etc.
Dorado, another BBQ fave, are scattered all over the ocean. Thats a GOOD thing !!
