Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report
Frustrated anglers from the United States who were hoping for a trip to the Gulf of Mexico, or a charter down in Florida are canceling their fishing dreams in droves!
While here in Panama, and at our lodge in Pacific Costa Rica, we have clear, blue water and lots and lots of FISH!!
Marlin, big yellow fin tuna, and wahoo are the prime targets, and we've got so many more offshore and inshore species to go after that your hard-earned dollars will be put to good use.
Tuna on surface poppers and with deep jigged butterfly rigs are what most anglers want to experience. Those that are looking for that first, or bigger than the last, BLACK MARLIN have a super shot at fulfilling their dreams.
WAHOO numbers continue to increase daily in our waters, and it only gets better from now to December.

Big cubera snapper ,mutton snapper, and African pompano are biting like crazy out at Isla Ladrones. Tuna are best at Isla Montuosa, and the Hannibal Bank. All of those areas hold marlin, and live bonitos or blue runners , slow trolled close off the stern, are the best methods to hooking up with that monster billfish.

Boca Chica Fishing Forecast:
Black MARLIN, YELLOW FIN TUNA, DORADO(mahi), will continue very strong to Oct. Then again from mid-November into next summer season.
Best shot for MARLIN is out of our lodge at Playa Zancudo, Costa Rica. Best time is August/September.
WAHOO are in good numbers close offshore in Costa Rica, just outside the Golfo Duce, and are plentiful in all areas in Panama.
