Wide Open Tuna Bite

Capt. Bob Baker
July 11, 2017
Boca Chica - Saltwater Fishing Report

It's gone wild, crazy, over the edge ! Yellowfin tuna in every weight class are terrorizing the offshore waters from Mata Palo( Costa Rica) to Isla Coiba (Panama) and, I'm sure, beyond. But why go any farther ?
Big schools around Isla Ladrones, Islas Secas, Isla Montuosa ( my personal favorite) are making for some sore backs. And, some great eating.
Dorado continue to bite well in all locations, and Black Marlin make things even MORE interesting.
Poppers burned across the surface , along with butterfly jigs down deep take the tuna. Slow trolled nose-rigged bonito or blue runners get chomped by the dorado and marlin.
It's the rainy season, so put some deep running plastics or Rapalas close off the stern for WAHOO.
Give me a call @ (506)8423-4552, or email @ [email protected] or,[email protected] in Costa Rica.
I'll get you and your group set up with great crews who love to catch fish !!
Meanwhile, Fish Hard, Fish Often. !! Cap'n Bob.
