Susquehanna River - Freshwater Fishing Report
Susquehanna River fishing for Smallmouth Bass is back after a way too long stretch of nasty weather.
I just couldn't take the Winter weather anymore. The boat had to see the water and I am glad I made that decision.
The Susquehanna has that great "greenish" color right now which I love so much. We caught quite a few Smallmouth and a even a Carp on a jig!! Our biggest Smallie just broke the 20" mark and was FAT.
Most of our fish came on slow moving baits like 2 1/2" tubes and Deer Hair-jigs. As the water warmed we were able to catch several nice Bass on a Lucky Craft Pointer fishing it PAINFULLY SSLLOOWW. As the water warms these same fish will begin to react a little better to faster moving baits.
I still have a couple days open that are under my "Winter Time Rates" till March 15th. Tehse trips are good for Smallmouth and Walleye.
Dates are going fast for April and May. If you are looking to fish the Susquehanna this Spring for some trophy Smallmouth, please call as soon as possible to assure your dates. As always I will give 110% to accomodate your dates as much as possible. I am also booking for Flathead Trips now for April-November.
