Susquehanna River Fishing Smallmouth Bass and Flathead Catfish

Capt. Dave Shindler
April 2, 2010
Susquehanna River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Susquehanna River fishing is doing quite well. We have been fishing the Susquehanna River and the Juniata river all week. Even with high water levels my clients have done quite well. Today on the Susquehanna we boated 3 fish over 19" with one of those being a monster 21 1/4 pushing the 6 lb mark. Most fish have come on slow moving baits, but today we found the first good spinnerbait bite of the year.

The flathead Catfish bite is starting to get good as well. No big fish to report yet, but the numbers are good. This warm weather should really heat up the big fish bite.
