Susquehanna River - Freshwater Fishing Report
Well let me tell you this past couple weeks have been full of excitement. River fluctuations of almost 10' always does something to the river.
For the first day or so it doesn't look good but after that, its "Katie bar the door" cause the fish are going to eat and they sure did!!
The bass have been eating moving baits like a train wreck and big ones too. The biggest issue has been the floating grass that broke loose from the rains. Spinnerbaits and Rattle Baits when the water is dirty and jerkbaits as it clears. Some absolute hogs have come to the boat and they are strong this time of year.
The Flatheads just plain LOVE the dirt. We have had some absolute phenominal days recently. More fish over 30 lbs have come to the boat in the last week or so than we did all year before.
Those big fish include a new big fish of 36+ lbs. That same night we also had a 31 and 30 lb fish with countless 20+ lbers.
We are forcast for another rise in water from todays rains, so if I am correct we are in for another stellar few weeks.
Hope you the ones on the other end of the line.
Dave
PS I still have some November days open, but please call ASAP they are filling fast
