Susquehanna River - Freshwater Fishing Report

Winter has given us a little break in the cold and we have taken advantage of it. Dodging a little ice is no problem if the fish are willing to cooperate. This weekend was pretty good with Smallmouth and a couple Walleye being caught. Even a 10 lb Flathead Catfish on a Gulp Minnow. Tube Jigs and Hairjigs had the most action. One thing this time of year is expect the unexpected weather wise and dress for the worst, or at least bring those clothes along.
Don't sit at home on the couch. Just like us, fish need to eat all winter. They just won't chase a meal for 20' like they may in the warmer months. Plan on fishing SSSLLLOOOWWW and you will be rewarded with a tug on your line.
I am offering winter time trips at SPECIAL rates until March 15th. Visit www.jstfishin.com for details
