Bill Wraps Fishing report North east of PR

Capt. Luis Iglesias
April 1, 2013
Fajardo - Saltwater Fishing Report

Happy Easter to all you hardcore angling families.

Today Aprils Fool, but no fooling in this report. Last month tons of hours in the water and the report goes as follows.

The Puerto Rican trench is in the transitional months. The mahi mahi are gone in the north east of the island (although more abundant in the south west) the only mahis go running with birds and are bigger in size but less abundant. No wahoos and of the tuna caught black fin and bonito. What has been good is the King Mackerel run, having multiple strikes and good size.
The transition to warmer waters and Summer marlin season is happening now. Can not wait to put away the light tackle and bring out the big guns for the Blue suit conferences.
