Nearshore wrecks are smoking hot

Capt. Rick Percy
May 21, 2015
Beaufort - Saltwater Fishing Report

The bite off the beach has been great. Numerous reports of Trigger fish, Gag Grouper, Black Sea Bass, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, and lots of big sharks have been coming in. My trips the last week have been inshore due to choppy seas, and the weekend with the moon and big tides was very slow for Cobia in the Broad River. I switched out to Redfish yesterday, and was glad I did. Although the bite on the incoming was pretty slow, we got on them as the tide turned to ebb and put a half dozen nice Redfish in the boat along with a small Flounder. I had a great group of guys from Tampa come up, and really enjoyed watching them catch fish.
