Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE
LARGEMOUTH are very good in 3'-8' along ledges and shelves and over gravel flats above breaklines using
crawfish Rat-L-Traps, 1/4 oz. white/chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, Ice Tea or watermelon Creme Devil's Tongues on split shot or drop shot rigs.
SMALLMOUTH are good over submerged rock piles in 4'-10'
using 1/8 oz. chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, pumpkin or chartreuse Devil's Tongues, chartreuse
Creme Super Tubes and 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps. STRIPERS &
WHITE BASS are excellent to 100 fish per day in the mouth of the Guadalupe River and upriver casting or trolling #1 or #3 Terminator In-Line spinners, Tiny Traps or Spin Traps or 2" Creme Lit'l Fishie Shads.

LAKE BUCHANAN
Water conditions are perfect for the terrific STRIPER, WHITE BASS & LARGEMOUTH action we are having. STRIPERS
are holding in 18'-28 feet along the main channels at midlake taking drifted live bait or trolled bucktail jigs. LARGEMOUTH are good along ledges in 5'-10' in creek and stump flats on watermelon Terminator jigs, whatermelon/chartreuse Creme Scremer worms and watermelon Devil's Tongues. WHITE BASS in the 12"-16"
range are very good vertically jigging 1/4 oz. Horizon Pirk Minnows and 2" Creme Lit'l Fishie Shads.
