Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE, TX.
Lake conditions (water clear; 58 degrees) is making for great bass fishing. Largemouth up to 8 lbs. are being taken in 3'-6' of water along rock ledges and breaklines of gravel flats in most creeks. 1/4 oz. white/char. Terminator spinnerbaits, 1/4 oz. crawfish
Rat-L-Traps watermelon & Ice Tea Devil's Tongues, clear/blue Rogues and pumpkin Zilla lizards are all producing lots of good fish.

Water temperature and clarity are improving bass fishing with largemouth moving up channels and ditches
toward pockets and coves for spawning. Working 3'-8' deep with char./blue Terminator spinnerbaits, 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps, watermelon Zilla lizards and Devil's Tongues will produce.
CRAPPIE are just beginning to move into shallow water
(1'-3') to take up their spawning ritual. red/char.
Creme Tiny Tubes or chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jigs are taking 12"-15" males already. With a few days
of sunny weather the females will be there too.
