Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE

Water clear; 98 degrees; 909': LARGEMOUTH are fair to good in 6'-12' along breaklines of boulder rock banks early on Tiny-T spinnerbaits, Frenzy threadfin crank-baits and Rat-l-Traps. At mid-morning the bite changes to plastics such as watermelon/chart. 4" Diswc Worms, 6" purple curl tail worms, Ice Tea wacky rigged Scoundrels and watermelon Devil's Tongues. Also, 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jigs are producing in 8'-15' of water along bluff banks.

SMALLMOUTH are fair to good in 8'-14' on pumpkin/green Terminator Finesse Jigs, smoke/blue flake 3" Super Tubes & split shot or drop shot rigged Devil's Tongues.

Water stained; 67 degrees; 824.90': LARGEMOUTH are good to 5 lbs. on watermelon/red Scoundrel worms on wacky rigs, 3/16 oz. watermelon Terminator Finesse Jigs and white/chartreuse 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits worked along boat docks and rocky points.

Split shot rigged watermelon Devil's Tongues and Spider Grubs are producing in 6'-12' on sloping points.
