Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE BUCHANAN

Water clear; 61 degrees; 1014.54': LARGEMOUTH are fair in 6'-10' working brushpiles and docks in creeks with a watermelon 3/8 oz. Terminator Finesse Jig with Disc Craw worm (www.bigbitebaits.com), neon/red fleck Scremer worms (www.cremelure.com) and parrot colored crankbaits.

STRIPERS are good under birds on live and cut shad and trolling or jigging 1 oz. Pirk Minnows in 20'-30' on creek points.

WHITE BASS slow trolling shad raps.

LAKE LBJ

Water muddy to stained; 61.6; 824.94': LARGEMOUTH are fair on blue fleck worms, watermelon 4" Super Tube Heavy (www.cremelure.com) and crankbaits fished along boat docks. Watermelon/red Scoundrel worms and Devil's Tongues will produce in 5'-10' on creek points.

WHITE BASS slow trolling shad raps and casting Tiny Traps and 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads.

CRAPPIE slow.

CANYON LAKE

Water clear in lower end-stained upper; 66.4 degrees; 918':

LARGEMOUTH are scattered because of high water. Some good fish being taken on grape Scoundrel worms on wacky rigs and purple 4" Disc Worms on Texas worms in 12'-20'

SMALLMOUTH are fair on rock piles in 10'18' on Tequila Sunrise 4" curl tail worms and chartreuse 3" grubs.

STRIPERS and WHITE BASS slow.
