Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE BUCHANAN

Water clear; 55.6 degrees; 1013.15' LARGEMOUTH are good in 6'-10' along channel breaklines and flats using Texas Red 1/4 oz. Terminator spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), watermelon 4" SlidingWeight Craw Fish(www.slidingweight.com) and 1/4 oz. crawfish Rat-L-Traps. Target ditches and creeks leading to fltas with a crawfish 4" Super Tube Heavy or 3/16poz. pumpkin Terminator Finesse Jig.

Stripers are good from Flag Island to Paradise Point on live bait and trolling 1/2 oz. striper jigs with some limited topwater activity.

White Bass are good in creeks and main channel jigging Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads.

Water clear; 56.4 degrees; 909' LARGEMOUTH are good in 6'-12' along gravel flats near secondary creeks on waterlemonseed BBB Lizards, 1/4 oz. Crawfish crankbaits and pitching 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jigs. SMALLMOUTH are good in 6'-12' over gravel bars and flats on chartreuse 3" Super Tubes, 1/8oz. Tiny-T spinnerbaits and 1/8 oz. hair jigs with Devil's Tongues trailers. STRIPERS are fair to good from midlake creeks to upper end on Lit'l Fishie Shads, Pirk Minnows and white bucktails and grub trailers. WHITE BASS are good on Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads.
