Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 71 degrees; 1017.13':
Largemouth are good along main lake points in 8'-14' using Texas rigged 4" or 6" watermelon/red or Ice Tea Scoundrel worms (www.cremelure.com), 4" wtr/pepper Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) and pumpkin Terminator Finesse Jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) with Devil's Tongue trailers.
Stripers are only fair from Flag Island to the dam drifting live bait, trolling 1/2 oz. Curb's striper jigs and jigging 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows.
White Bass are good over flats on 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows and Spin Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) .

CANYON LAKE: Water murky; 73 degrees; 911.35':
Largemouth are good early on small poppers, 1/8 oz. white Tiny-T spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), 4" Pro Blue Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com)
and Sliding Weight Finesse Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com) pitched to standing trees and laydowns. White 4" Senkos, 3" watermelon Super Tubes
(www.cremelure.com) and watermelon Snap-Back (www.terminatorlures.com)Creature Baits are producing in 4'-8' of water along flooded bushes.
Smallmouth are good along bluffs in 6'-15' of water using a crawfish 3" Super Tube (www.cremelure.com), 3" smoke or rootbeer BBB grubs and Sliding Weight Finesse Craw Fish.
Stripers are slow, suspended over humps in 60' of water from mid-lake to the dam.
White Bass are fair vertically jigging 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows and 2" Lit'l Fishie

Largemouth are good early on topwater poppers and later using 3" watermelon Super Tubes (www.cremelure.com), 4" watermelon BBB Disc
Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) and Sliding Weight Finesse Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com) along sloping points.
White Bass are fair on silver Terminator Snagless In-Line spinners,(www.terminatorlures.com) white 3" white BBB grubs and 1/8 oz. chrome Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-traps.com).
Crappie are fair over brushpiles in 16' of water on minnows and Curb'scrappie jigs.
