Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

Lake Buchanan Guide Report

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 54 degrees; 1018.56'

BLACK BASS are slow in 10'-20' of water on black/blue fleck SnapBack Creature Baits www.terminatorlures.com 4" watermelon/red Scoundre worms (www.cremelure.com), black/blue tail 4" BBB Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com)& the improved SlidingWeight Finesse Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com). We're

rigging the craw fish on 1/8 oz. jigheads and Texas rigs, depending on the structure ( docks, ledges, rocky points, etc.) and presentation necessary to get the fish to cooperate. To prevent plastic lures from

sliding on hooks and jigheads try applying a drop of Soft-Bait Glue (www.prosoftbaitglue.com)to the head of each hook. This glue also repairs soft plastics instantly, thereby saving you money and extending your fishing day.

Stripers are fair drifting live bait in 25' and casting Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and 1/4 oz. white Curb's bucktails with BBB grubs for trailers to surface activity.
