Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 51 degrees; 1018.72':

Black Bass are fair in 8'-15' along points and ledges on black/blue a 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jigs (www.terminatorlures.com), watermelon/green Arkie grubs and pitching watermelon/pepper 4" Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) to boat docks.

Stripers are good under birds from Garrett to the Lighthouse on 3" Lit'l Fishie Shads (www.cremelure.com), 1 oz. Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and trolling 1/2 oz. Curb's striper jigs.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 53 degrees; 824.90':

Largemouth are fair in 10'-18' on crawfish Wart Hawgs worked along rip rap, watermelon Hula Grubs and black/char. Terminator Finesse jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) and pork along docks.

White Bass are good under birds from the Apple Orchard to LCRA Park on 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Tiny Traps.

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 54 degrees; 911.70':

Largemouth are good tight to brushpiles along channel drop offs and secondary on blk/blue Snap Back worms (www.canyonlakefishing.com), watermelon/red Yamamoto Hula Grubs and 4" Junebug Disc Worms.

Smallmouth are good to 3 pounds in 10'-20' tight to bluffs and rock piles using a rootbeer 3" BBB grubs (www.bigbitebaits.com), 3" Sliding Weight Finesse Craw Fish (www.slidingweight.com) and Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on drop shot or split shot rigs.

Stripers are fair trolling chartreuse Curb's Striper jigs in 70'.
