Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 911.35'; 51 degrees:

Weather keeping fishermen off the lake.

Largemouth are fair upriver pitching 1/2 oz. Terminator Pro Series Jigs (www.terminatorlures.com) with Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com)pork trailers, watermelon Scoundrel (www.cremelure.com) worms and

4" black/blue Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) to standing timber and brush in 10'-15'.

Smallmouth are fair along bluff ledges on smoke/silver flake Sliding Weight Finesse Crawfish (www.slidingweight.com), 3" chartreuse Super Tubes and Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) worked along

ledges and rock piles in 10'-20'.

Stripers are fair over creek and mainlake humps in 30'-40' on 1/2 oz. Curb's Striper jigs, 1 oz. blue Pirk Minnows and 3" Lit'l Fishie Shads.

White Bass fair along 20'-40' points casting 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps, vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and trolling #5 Shad Raps .

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 50 degrees; 1018.87' :

Very few fishermen on the lake.

Black Bass are fair 12-15 foot creek channels and on

bluff ledges using watermelon 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jig (www.terminatorlures.com) with Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com)trailers, 4" black/blue tail BBB Disc Worms (www.bigbitebaits.com) drop shot rigged Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) and black/blue

Stripers are fair, weather is bad for drifting live bait, trolling 1/2 oz. Curb's striper jigs and vertically jigging 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows.

White Bass are fair in 30' on mainlake points using

1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com)

LAKE LBJ: Water clear; 824.63'; 50 degrees:

Largemouth are only fair along breaklines in 10' holding tight to brushpiles and along docks on pumpkin 3/16 oz. Terminator Finesse Jigs with Uncle Josh pork trailers, watermelon/red Devil's Tongues and 4" watermelon BBB Curl Tails.

White Bass are fair but small under birds around the power plant on 1/4 oz.Pirk Minnows, 2 inch Lit'l Fishie Shads and 1/8 oz. Tiny Traps.
