Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 824.93'; 53 degrees:

NOTE: Water conditions and elevations are accurate on date of report but are subject to change and fluctuation due to changing weather.

Largemouth are good in 10' of water along creek channels using a 3/16 oz. pumpkinTerminator Finesse jig with Uncle Josh pork trailer , watermelon/red Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs around docks and crawfish 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps on points.

White Bass are good on creek points and flats under birds on chrome/black Tiny Traps and 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads.

Crappie are fair over brushpiles in 18' using pink/white Tube Jigs 1/16 th oz. chartreuse Curb's crappie jigs and minnows. CANYON LAKE: Water cloudy; 910' ; 60 degrees:

Largemouth were good upriver before rains, tight to stickups in 8'-10' ditches on smoke/red Super Tubes, 1/8 oz. black/red Terminator Finesse Jigs and junebug 4" Disc Worms.

Smallmouth are still good along bluff ledges on smoke/silver flake Sliding Weight Finesse Crawfish, 1/8 oz. chartreuse Tiny-T spinnerbaits and Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs in 8'-20' feet of water.

Stripers are fair but scattered in 30'-40' of creeks on live perch, 1/2 oz. blue Pirk Minnows and 3" Lit'l Fishie Shads.

White Bass uncertain because of heavy rain upriver in 2'-4' over gravel bars on Shad Raps, #3 Terminator In-Line Spinners and live minnows.

Crappie good in 15'-20' feet tight to standing timber using white 1/16 oz. crappie jigs, 1/32 oz. blue/white Tube Jigs and minnows.
