Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 81 degrees; 910' :
Largemouth are good at daylight in 4'-10' on chrome/blue, Silver Shad Terminator spinnerbaits(www.terminatorlures.com), and a pumpkin 6" Scoundrel worm(www.cremelure.com) worked along creek points. Upriver, pumpkin Senkos (www.canyonlakefishing.com), white/char. Tiny-T spinnerbaits and Texas rigged pumpkin/char. 4" ring worms are producing.
Smallmouth are good in 8'-20' using crawfish 3" Super Tube, Yamamoto Cut Tail worms and Devil's Tongues.
Stripers are fair to good on main lake points burning a chrome Rat-L-Trap through surfacing shad or jigging white/chart Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) with plastic trailers and drifting live perch.
Crappie are good tight to timber in 20' on minnows, white Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 79 degrees; 1013.96' :
Largemouth are good for the first hour of daylight in 3'-10'
of water along stumps and brushpiles on a 1/4 oz. white/char Terminator spinnerbait(www.terminatorlures.com), clear Rat-L-Tops (www.rat-l-trap.com) and 6" Texas rigged watermelon/red Scoundrel worms(www.cremelure.com). Pitching a pumpkin Tiny-T jig with #101 Uncle Josh Pork (www.unclejosh.com) trailer and 4" watermelon/red Scoundrel worms is accounting for fish later in the day as bass move to shaded structure.
Stripers are fair to good in 28' of water trolling white/char. Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) and drifting live bait. Subsurface action at daylight on Rat-L-Traps and walking baits.

LAKE LBJ: Water clearing; 80 degrees; 824.87' :
Black Bass are fair early on white/chart. Terminator
buzzbaits, Silver Shiner Rat-L-Traps(www.rat-l-trap.com) and 6" Ice Tea Scoundrel worms on Whacky rigs in 3'-6' along seawalls and docks. Later, try a watermelon/red Sliding Weight Finesse Craw Fish(www.slidingweight.com) or "smokin' green" Devil's
Tongue(www.cremelure.com) on a split shot rig in 5'-8' along rip rap.
White Bass are good at night on 1/8 oz. In-Line spinners and bleeding shiner Tiny Traps.
Crappie are good at night on white Curb's crappie jigs and minnows.
