Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 66 degrees; 909' :
Largemouth are good to 6 lbs in 3'-8' on mainlake and
secondary points w/wood using 1/8 white Tiny-T buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) Frenzy Shad diving crankbaits (www.canyonlakefishing.com) and watermelon/chartreuse Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com).
Smallmouth are good over submerged rockpiles in 8'-15' along bluffs using watermelon Whacky Sticks and 3/16 oz. blk/brn Terminator jig with Uncle Josh trailer.
Stripers are very good to 12 lbs early on Frenzy Walkers, Red Fins and burning a 1/2 oz. Hyper Striper jig w.trailers (www.kgenterprise.com) through surfacing schools.
White Bass are fair at daylight in 20' along creek points on Pirk Minnows, Tiny Traps and Spoiler Shads.
Crappie are fair in 8'-20' tight to cover on live minnows, white Curb's crappie jigs and Swirltails on 1/16 oz. jigheads.

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 65 degrees; 1016.80' :
Largemouth are good around Mud Island using white/chart.Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), Rat-L-Traps
(www.rat-l-trap.com) and grn/pumpkin Whacky Sticks
(www.cremelure.com). A watermelon/red Scoundrel worm
rigged on a "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) and
shallow running crankbaits are producing under docks and along secondary creek points.
Stripers are good in 30' up to Bluffton tight-lining live bait, and trolling 1/2 oz. Hyper-Striper jigs(www.kgenterprise.com) and trailers and working 1/2 oz. spoons through schools. Top water action on Red Fins.
White Bass are fair early on sloping main-lake creek points jigging 1/4 oz. Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Tiny Traps.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 67 degrees; 824.93' :
Largemouth are very good in brushpiles 4'-8' deep along rip rap on watermelon/red Whacky Sticks(www.cremelure.com), white/chart. 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits 1/4 oz. Rat-l-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and blue fleck Power Worms. Working wacky worms like a grape 6" Scoundrel rigged on a 2/0-3/0 weedless "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com)
or a watermelon Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com)
jerkbaits along rip rap are sure to attract bites.
Stripers are schooling in the shoals below Inks Lake during generation.
White Bass are fair during current flows along channel breaklines trolling Shad Raps, casting Spoiler Shads and Tiny Traps.
Crappie are slow to fair over brushpiles and on bridge pilings using minnows, Curb's Crappie Jigs and Swirltail grubs.
