Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water gin clear; 52 degrees; 908.86'
Largemouth are fair in 8'-20' using smoke/blue Snap Back tubes (www.canyonlakefishing.com), Ice Tea Devil's Tongues on drop shot rigs and pitching a black/blue Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com)
finesse jig with Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) trailer tight to standing timber.
Smallmouth are fair to good in 5'-15' on flats of lake points and bluffs using chart. tungsten spinnerbaits, watermelon/char. Whacky Sticks and a pumpkin Craw Baby (www.slidingweight.com) on split shot rigs.
Stripers are fair under birds from mid-lake to the dam using pink Snap Back jerkbaits, 1/2 oz. white/gray Hyper Striper (www.kgenterprise.com) jigs and jigging Pirk Minnows.
White Bass are slow to fair on lake points using 1/4 oz. Road Runners and Pirk Minnows.

Largemouth are fair in 6'-10' over brushpiles along rip rap using Christmas Tree Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), 7/16 oz. white/chart. Terminator tungsten (www.terminatorlures.com) spinnerbaits & blk/blue jigs w/Uncle Josh (www.unclejosh.com) Pork Trailers.
White Bass are fair around the power plant jigging Pirk Minnows, Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and Lit'l Fishies.
Crappie are fair along baited and heated enclosed docks on Flea Flies, Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.
