Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 50 degrees; 908.86'

Largemouth are good to 6 lbs upriver in 5'-15' using blue flake Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com), black/blue 7" inch Snap Back (www.canyonlakefishing.com) worms & pumpk/brn 1/4 oz. Terminator (www.terminatorlures.com) jigs with Uncle Josh Pork (www.unclejosh.com) trailers.

Stripers improving at mid-lake creeks on white/chart Hyper Striper (www.kgenterprise.com) jigs with trailers, Albino Snap Back cyberflexx jerkbaits (www.canyonlakefishing.com) and 4" plastic swim baits.

White Bass are fair in 30' vertically jigging blue or silver Pirk Minnows, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com).

Guadalupe Rainbows are very good to 3 lbs. on yellow or pink Berkley Power Trout Baits, Terminator In-Line

spinners and asst'd flys.

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 50 degrees; 1015.91'

Black Bass are fair to good in 12'-20' feet along bluffs on channels using watermelon/red Devil's Tongues (www.cremelure.com) on drop shot rigs, Carolina rigged blk/blue Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com)creature baits and golden shiner Frenzy (www.berkley-fishing.com) diving Pro crankbaits. Working a straight tail watermelon/red Scoundrel worm wacky style on a 2/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) or a Texas rigged Craw Tube along ledges will produce.

Stripers are fair along the main channel from Shaw Island to Mud Island in 10'-30' trolling white/gray Hyper Striper (www.kgenterprise.com)jigs and tightlining live bait.

White Bass are slow in the mouth of creeks vertically jigging Pirk Minnows, Tiny Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and Lit'l Fishies on jigheads.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 51 degrees; 825.75'

Largemouth are fair in 10'-18' on watermelon/red Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com), blk/blue Snap Back (www.terminatorlures.com)7" worms and Berkley Pro divers (www.berkley-fishing.com). Laydowns

and brushpiles along channel breaklines are producing.

White Bass are fair trolling diving Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com),Shad Raps and jigging Pirk Minnows.

Crappie are fair in brushpiles and bridge pilings on minnows.
