Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 67 degrees; 909':
Largemouth are very good over gravel flats & mainlake or creek points using green pumpkin Snap Back lizards (www.canyonlakefishing.com),crawfish Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and green-pumpkin Whacky Sticks w/ chartreuse tails (www.cremelure.com) rigged on a "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com). 7/16 oz. white Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits and watermelon
Smallmouth are very good to 4 lbs. on a 7/16 oz. chart. Terminator tungsten spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com), chartreuse tube lures and rootbeer green flake Yamamoto Hula Grubs (www.canyonlakefishing.com) on 1/8 oz. jigheads.
Stripers are slow to poor.
White Bass are good using #3 gold Terminator In-Line spinners, Litl' Fishie Shads, chartreuse Gulp grubs on jigheads and live minnows.
Crappie are good in 4'-8' on 1/16 oz. white or chart. Curb's crappie jigs, blue-chartreuse Swirltail grubs and live minnows.

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 65 degrees; 1016.15':
Largemouth are good in 3'-8' of water over flats and in feeder creek arms using a green pumpkin Snap Back lizard (www.terminatorlures.com), white 7/16 oz. tungsten spinnerbaits and green pumpkin Whacky Sticks
(www.cremelure.com).
Striped Bass are good from Paradise to Flag Island in 30' using white/blue Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) & tight-lining live bait.
White Bass are good vertically jigging Pirk Minnows, Tiny Traps and clear blue Spoiler Shads.

LAKE LBJ: Water lightly stained; 68 degrees; 824.82':
Black Bass are very good to 6 lbs on flats and in pockets on albino Snap Back jerkbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), black blue Whacky
Sticks (www.cremelure.com) and Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com). Working a watermelon/red Craw Fish, Jr. (www.slidingweight.com) or split shot rigging a pumpkin Devil's Tongue in 4'-6' just off seawall rip rap or skipping an Ice Tea Scoundrel worm (www.cremelure.com) rigged wacky style on a
3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconhooks.com) under walkways of docks is sure to produce strikes.
White Bass are good early and under clouds in rivers on Tiny Traps(www.rat-l-trap.com), 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Shad Raps.
Crappie are very good to 16" in 1'-3' of water using chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jigs, Swirltail grubs & live minnows.
