Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clearing; 68 degrees; 910':

Largemouth are good along buckbrush and vertical timber in 5'-8'on white Terminator spinnerbaits (www.canyonlakefishing.com), watermelon/red

Bush Pigs and green pumpkin Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) w/a char. tail wacky rigged on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com), or

completely unweighted.

Smallmouth are very good to 3 lbs. along 5'-10' breaklines on white tungsten spinnerbaits, watermelon/red Craw Tubes and pumpkin Sliding Weight Craw Fish, Jr. (www.canyonlakefishing.com).

Stripers are fair at first light in 30'-50' at creek and main channel intersections on white Snap Back jerkbaits & Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com).

White Bass are fair to good at daylight along mainlake points on Terminator In-Line spinners, blue back Spoiler Shads and chrome Tiny Traps.

Crappie are fair tight to trees and brushes on white 1/32 oz. Curb's jigs, blue/chart. Mini Tubes.

Largemouth are fair in clearest water available 2'-6' deep using 3/8 oz. white/char Terminator spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) watermelon Bush Pigs (www.cremelure.com) and green pumpkin Snap Back

lizards on Carolina Rigs.

White Bass fair trolling Shad Raps, white 3" grubs jigging Spoiler Shads.

Crappie are slow to fair on 1/32 oz. white Curb's crappie jigs, blue chartreuse Swirltail grubs and minnows.

Stripers are good to 14 lbs trolling Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) and tight-lining live bait. Some early morning topwater action.

White Bass are fair on Spin Traps, Pirk Minnows and Lit'l Fishes.
