Canyon Lake - Freshwater Fishing Report

CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 84 degrees; 915' :
Largemouth are very good to 5.2 lbs. early in 4'-8' using white 7/16 oz. Terminator tungsten spinnerbaits (www.canyonlakefishing.com), grn/pumpkin Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com), Snap Back jerkbaits rigged on a 4/0 Bait Jerker Hook (www.falconlures.com)and pumpkin grn flake tubes.
Stripers are very slow.
Smallmouth are fair to 3 lbs. at first light in 6-25 feet on pumpkin Devil's Tongues, white 4" Senkos (www.canyonlakefishing.com) and crawfish tubes on jigheads.
White Bass are good at night on 1-1/2" Lit'l Fishies, white Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.
Crappie are improving tight to standing on 1/16 oz. Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

LAKE LBJ: Water stained; 83 degrees; 824.69':
Largemouth are good at night & at first light on wood or along weeds on breaklines using Terminator Gold Shiner spinnerbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), 3" plastic swim baits and watermelon/red Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com).
White Bass are very good at night in 8'-20' on 1-1/2
Lit'l Fishie and white Curb's crappie jigs.
Crappie are good at night on white or chartreuse 1/32 oz. Curb's crappie jigs and live minnows.

LAKE BUCHANAN: Water clear; 82 degrees; 1018.58':
Largemouth are very good at first light in 5'-10' using watermelon/red Snap Back jerkbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), grape Scoundrel
worms (www.cremelure.com) wacky rigged on a 3/0 "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com) and pumpkin grn. flake tubes.
Stripers are fair to good bottom trolling 1/2 oz. white/chartreuse Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) w/plastic trailers, vertically
jigging Pirk Minnows and tight-lining live bait.
White Bass are slow on creek points on Tiny Traps and Spoiler Shads.
